CJ Carr in attendance at Indiana/Michigan for brother Tommy Carr’s first career start
Fall is a busy time for families with football players. No matter what level they’re at, it is difficult to get everyone where they need to be. Sometimes, though, the stars align and you can have the whole family at one location. That’s how things worked out for the Carr family in Week 8.
On Saturday, Michigan quarterback Tommy Carr got the call to start for the Wolverines vs. No. 6 Indiana. Normally, his brother, CJ Carr — the Notre Dame Fighting Irish starting passer — would be in no position to support his sibling in-person for the momentous event. Notre Dame is on bye this weekend, though, so Carr made the trip up to The Big House for the occasion.
Tommy Carr and Josh Hoover — Indiana’s quarterback — have experienced some tough sledding on Saturday. Carr opened the game completing 60% of his passes (6/10) but only had 36 passing yards on those attempts. He also threw an interception that set up a Hoosier field goal.
Hoover’s team has the lead, but he’s not faring much better through the air than Carr. The TCU transfer has hit on just 40% (6/15) of his passes for 45 yards. Michigan has the ball near midfield with two minutes remaining in the first half on FOX.
