Clemson quarterback Cade Klubnik became the fifth QB to come off the 2026 NFL Draft board, as he was selected Saturday by the New York Jets in the fourth round with the 110th overall pick.

Klubnik was a four-year standout at Clemson, throwing for 10,123 yards and 73 touchdowns with 24 interceptions in four seasons. Klubnik turned down a chance to turn pro after a 2024 season that saw him finish with 3,639 passing yards and 36 touchdowns and instead returned to the Tigers – where he passed for 2,943 yards and 16 TDs.

The 6-foot-2, 207-pound Klubnik is a pure pocket passer with impressive overall touch, timing and accuracy. But Klubnik also appears to be late and indecisive at times, struggling with post-snap reads while often locking onto pre-snap targets.

Klubnik joins a New York Jets team that went 3-14 last season under coach Aaron Glenn. The Jets have veteran Geno Smith as their presumptive QB1, and Klubnik will likely compete for the QB2 spot with Brady Cook and Bailey Zappe.

The Jets had the No. 2 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft and went with Texas Tech edge rusher David Bailey. They also selected Oregon tight end Kenyon Sadiq with the No. 16 overall pick and Indiana receiver Omar Cooper Jr. with the No. 30 pick.
