Cole Cubelic was hard at work on Sunday night in the aftermath of what the 12 SEC teams in action did in Week 8, as the SEC Network analyst revealed his thoughts on the SEC teams who prevailed and those SEC teams that fell short.
As we dip into Cubelic’s thoughts on Monday, we’ll start alphabetically with Alabama, which snapped out of its October funk with a comeback home victory over Texas A&M.
“Another comeback win. QB helped find a way,” wrote Cubelic, referring to first-year starting signal-caller Keelon Russell’s ability to rally the Crimson Tide in the 31-20 win.
And what about Tennessee, which was surging and looked to be in control in Columbia before blowing it against South Carolina.
“Gut wrenching,” wrote Cubelic about the Volunteers’ stunning 27-24 setback.

How about the flip side to the whole thing?
“Electric win,” were the first 2 words that Cubelic used to describe South Carolina’s magical Saturday.
Meanwhile, Texas came alive in primetime and outlasted Ole Miss to get back in the win column.
“Much-needed win. Gutsy,” wrote Cubelic about the Longhorns’ 34-27 home triumph.
Speaking of winning, that’s what LSU did at Auburn in the battle of Tigers.
“Nice conference win on the road,” Cubelic wrote about LSU’s dominant performance.
