The College Basketball AP Top 25 has been updated for the first time in February, but there is no change at the very top with Auburn still leading the way at No. 1 overall. Duke, following an emphatic win over rival UNC, continues to man the No. 2 spot.
Most recently, Bruce Pearl’s Tigers beat Ole Miss with a quality performance on the road. Auburn now has a staggering 12 Quad 1 wins with the meat of SEC play still to come.
The SEC also landed 2 more top 5 spots with Alabama at No. 3 moving up after Iowa State tumbled 5 spots. Tennessee, coming off its blowout win over previously No. 5 Florida, jumps up to No. 4 in the nation while the Gators check in at No. 6.
Texas A&M jumps 3 spots in the latest poll and gives the SEC half of the top 10 spots in the country. Vanderbilt did fall out of the top 25 entirely, but the league still has 9 teams featured and 3 more in the “others receiving votes” section.
