San Diego State shut out Fresno State 23-0 for a road victory on Saturday. However, Aztecs head coach Sean Lewis took some criticism before the game even started.

The FOX Sports broadcast team ruthlessly trolled Lewis for his bizarre tan line that wrapped around his head in the shape of a cap.

“He’s got a hat on because pre-game this is what he looks like,” play-by-play man Noah Reed said on the broadcast. “That is one of the most insane tan lines I’ve ever seen.”

The 39-year-old Lewis is in his second season at the helm of San Diego State. After a rough 3-9 campaign in 2024, Lewis has guided the Aztecs to a 6-1 mark this season as they vie with Boise State for the top spot in the Mountain West Conference.

Prior to San Diego State, Lewis spent a season at Colorado as Deion Sanders’ offensive coordinator before being let go. Lewis took that job with Colorado after being a head coach at Kent State from 2018-2022. Lewis tallied a 24-31 record with the Golden Flashes, including a victory vs. Utah State in the 2019 Frisco Bowl.

Next up for San Diego State is a home matchup vs. Wyoming on Nov. 1 (7 p.m. ET/CBS Sports Network).
