Sudeikis, a former Saturday Night Live cast member and current star of Apple TV’s Ted Lasso, has family ties to Notre Dame.
“My folks are from Chicago. My mom’s from the South Side. Her father, my grandfather, was a graduate from Notre Dame,” Sudeikis said during a Thursday appearance on The Pat McAfee Show. “My uncle Jim, he’s a graduate of Notre Dame, 1975. My uncle George, the actor, George Wendt, Norm on Cheers, he went to Notre Dame and dropped out after his junior year. … I went to the basketball camp there in 6th grade.”
Sudeikis will join McAfee, along with host Rece Davis and analysts Desmond Howard, Nick Saban and Kirk Herbstreit at the GameDay desk to pick a loaded Week 10 slate of college football games headlined by No. 1 Miami vs. No. 11 Miami (7:30 p.m. ET, NBC).
