College GameDay announces celebrity guest picker for Week 8 show at Utah
College GameDay will be staying in the state of Utah for its Week 8 extravaganza on Saturday morning, shifting from Provo to Salt Lake City, where 10th-ranked Utah will host 14th-ranked Houston in a Big 12 bash that kicks off at 10:15 p.m. ET on ESPN.
But several hours before that, the popular Saturday morning pregame show will broadcast live from Utah, which has been one of the best stories in college football so far this season with a 6-0 overall record and 3-0 mark in the Big 12.
The Cougars are right there at 6-1 overall and 3-1 in the Big 12, but the stage will belong to the Utes in Week 8 and on Thursday afternoon college football fans found out which celebrity guest picker ESPN chose to hang out with the crew and enjoy the backdrop on Saturday morning.
Not surprisingly, the choice has a heavy Utah flavor. It’ll be former Utes star tight end Dalton Kincaid, who played at Utah from 2020-22. Kincaid also played at San Diego in 2018 and 2019, but he made his collegiate name in Salt Lake City, being named a first-team All-Pac 12 selection in his final year at Utah in 2022.

The Buffalo Bills made Kincaid the 25th overall pick of the 2023 NFL Draft, and he’s spent his entire pro career in Buffalo, earning a trip to the Pro Bowl last season.
But on Saturday morning, with Buffalo on its bye week, Kincaid will have a free weekend on his hands, and he’ll spend it with the College GameDay crew as his alma mater gets ready for a huge Week 8 matchup in primetime.
The big announcement on Thursday afternoon was made on The Pat McAfee Show:
With Big 12 powers Houston and Utah battling on Saturday night from the site of this week’s College GameDay, the winner will have a huge leg up in potentially nailing down a spot in the College Football Playoff come December. Here is what the Kalshi market is currently saying about the best odds to make the elite 12-team field:
