Cris Collinsworth participated in a recent mock draft with Pro Football Focus where he shared some strong opinions about former Mizzou star Luther Burden III.
With the draft only a week away, NFL media and fans across the country are breaking down every prospect as we are on the countdown to the Tennessee Titans using the No. 1 pick.
One position that has been talked about a lot this year is wide receiver. While there are several receivers worthy of 1st-round consideration this year, Burden is his “favorite” target in this class.
“My favorite player at receiver in the draft is Luther Burden out of Missouri,” Collinsworth said during his mock draft. “He’s just awesome … Deebo Samuel with speed kind of thing.”
Collinsworth ended up projecting Burden to be picked by the Atlanta Falcons in this mock.
“He’s going to take the league by storm. I really do … There’s nothing that this guy that I don’t just love,” he added.

Burden had an outstanding 3 years at Missouri, as he finished his career in Columbia with 192 catches, 2,263 yards and 21 touchdowns. At the NFL Combine, Burden showcased that speed Collinsworth talked about as he ran a 4.41 40-yard dash.
He is right there in the group of talented wide receivers, and he could potentially hear his name called on Thursday. Regardless of where he goes, Collinsworth thinks he has a chance to be a star.
The NFL Draft will begin on April 24 in Green Bay.
