Dan Mullen had some fun at Florida’s expense on Wednesday.

Mullen is currently the head coach at UNLV, but before that, he spent time as both an assistant and a head coach at Florida. He was the head coach for the Gators from 2018-2021, and has spent plenty of time in Gainesville.

In a recent study, Gainesville was named the “most dangerous” college town in the country. The former Gators coach used this study as a way to take a shot at his old stomping grounds, while also promoting UNLV.

Here’s the message Mullen shared on social media:

During his time as the coach at Florida, the Gators went 34-15. He got off to a great start, going 25-5 in his first two seasons. However, a rough 5-6 campaign in 2021 ended his tenure in Gainesville.

He spent time as a college football analyst at ESPN after leaving Florida, and UNLV is his first coaching job since.

The Rebels get their season started in Week 0, as they host Idaho State on Aug. 23 at 4 p.m. ET.
