David Stone is almost ready to make his college commitment.
Stone will announce his decision on Aug. 26, he shared Thursday. He’ll be picking from a group of 6 finalists: Oklahoma, Florida, Texas A&M, Oregon, Miami and Michigan State.

Stone is one of the top prospects in the country regardless of position. He’s the No. 6 overall player and the No. 2 defensive lineman in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 3 player from the state of Florida.
He attends IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. However, Stone is originally from Oklahoma City. He transferred to IMG Academy ahead of his junior season. He is listed at 6-foot-4, 270 pounds.
Oklahoma is the current favorite to land Stone’s commitment, according to multiple 247Sports Crystal Ball projections. He took official visits to Oklahoma, Florida, Miami and Michigan State during the month of June.
