Deion Sanders took time to single out a special member of his support system on Monday.

Sanders revealed Monday that he dealt with bladder cancer this offseason. Coach Prime is cancer-free after the removal of his bladder and the cancerous tumor.

During his press conference, Sanders made sure that Randy Moss was recognized for the support he offered to his fellow former NFL great.

“Randy Moss called me every other day to make sure I was straight,” Sanders said. “Randy Moss prayed for me. He and his wife told me what I needed to be doing. He’s gone through some things very similar. But Randy Moss, man. I love him to life. Love him more than ever…He gave me so much strength and so much guidance and so much love, respect, and appreciation. Thank you, Randy. I really appreciate you. I really do.”

Moss was able to advise Sanders from his own experience. The NFL legend stepped away from his ESPN responsibilities in December after being diagnosed with bile duct cancer. Moss made a tearful return in February.

It clearly meant a lot to Sanders to have Moss’s support. Now Sanders may be able to provide support to someone else one day.
