Through three games this year, former Alabama RB Derrick Henry has struggled for the Tennessee Titans.

On 46 carries, he has only 139 yards and zero touchdowns — not exactly what the Titans were envisioning when Henry was given the starting job.

To his credit, Henry knows he needs to be better, and he told TitansOnline.com that he’s sick of his “trash play”:

โ€œItโ€™s been trash play, and itโ€™s unacceptable as far as me and my position,โ€ Henry said. โ€œThe position I play, I have to be more physical, and I have to make more explosive runs. I have to help this offense in a big way that Iโ€™ve always talked about that I want to do.

โ€œItโ€™s a mentality thing. I just have to get it. I have to get it.โ€

Henry and the Titans face a tough test on Sunday when they host the defending Super Bowl-champion Philadelphia Eagles.

Henry will need to have a big game for the Titans to win, so we’ll see how he performs on Sunday afternoon.
