Devin Willock Celebration of Life plans set for Athens and New Jersey

Devin Willock will be remembered with a pair of Celebration of Life events, first in Athens on Saturday, and Jan. 27 in his home state of New Jersey.
Georgia teammates, coaches, staffers and University of Georgia administrators will be on hand for a private event in Athens. The public event will take place in Englewood, New Jersey at The Community Baptist Church beginning with 9 a.m. visitation and the Celebration of Life at 11 a.m. with Senior Pastor Dr. Lester W. Taylor Jr.
Willock, a 20-year-old offensive lineman, and Chandler LeCroy, a 24-year-old recruiting analyst, died in the crash off Barnett Shoals Road in Athens on Sunday. A police report said that excessive speed played a factor in the crash, but it remains under investigation. LeCroy’s service was held Wednesday in her hometown of Toccoa, Georgia.
In statements and interviews with reporters this week, Willock’s parents said their son was more than a football player, and that UGA was supporting the family 100%.
