Dick Vitale is set to return to the booth on Saturday for crucial ACC showdown between No. 2 Duke and Clemson.

Vitale was originally slated to make his return last month, but it had to be delayed after he suffered an accident in his home. Vitale has battled cancer over the past couple of years but will now be back working for ESPN this weekend alongside Dave O’Brien and Cory Alexander.

“I am absolutely ecstatic and I can’t believe this is happening after going through five major vocal cord surgeries, 65 radiation treatments and chemotherapy for six months,” Vitale said in a statement last month ahead of his originally-planned return. “It’s been a very tough journey, but all of the prayers and messages from the beautiful fans have inspired me.”

As for the game itself, it has serious NCAA Tournament implications for Clemson and the ACC. Duke is currently projected to be a No. 1 seed, so a Clemson win in this matchup would mean a lot for a Tigers’ team that has NCAA Tournament aspirations. The Blue Devils have not lost in conference play yet this season.

Tip off on Saturday night is at 6 p.m. ET on ESPN.
