OL J’Marion Gooch was a 3-star player in the class of 2021. The 6-8, 360-pound lineman played high school football in Tennessee before committing to Missouri for college.

However, it doesn’t appear he’ll ever get the chance to take the field for the Tigers.

On Thursday, coach Eli Drinkwitz revealed that Gooch had been “medically disqualified” to play at Mizzou due to a medical issue that surfaced during a physical:

Based on the tweet above, it seems Gooch isn’t just out for the 2021 season, but rather won’t get to play at Mizzou at all.

Per the 247Sports composite rankings, Gooch was the No. 52 offensive tackle in the class of 2021 and the No. 15 overall recruit from the state of Tennessee.
