Oklahoma hasn’t had the type of season that the Sooners wanted in 2026, and the team will need to reload in the future. One area where the team has to be better is on offense, especially when it comes to running the ball. To do that, you have to have elite players on the line, and the Sooners are active in the recruiting of elite 2028 offensive tackle, Lincoln Fa’alafi.

He is reportedly down to his final seven schools, and the Sooners made the list.

The Sooners are battling Notre Dame, Oklahoma, UCLA, BYU, South Carolina, Ohio State and Oregon.

According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, he is the No. 92 player in the class. He is the No. 5 player in California and the No. 10 offensive tackle in the country.

Hailing from New Zealand, he was originally a basketball player, but decided to change to football after moving to the United States. He is sill learning the game of football, but his size and power gives him the potential to end up being a major contributor at the collegiate level.

For the Sooners, the offense has been an issue for the team over the past couple of seasons. Getting the offensive line would be a great start to putting out an offense that can contend at a high level.
