Elite SEC recruit Mark-Antony Richards announces when he’ll make decision

A big-time athlete who listed three SEC schools among his finalists in August has updated his recruiting process.

Mark-Antony Richards of West Palm Beach, Fla. (Wellington) earlier tweeted that his final five schools are Florida, Auburn, Tennessee, Penn State and Miami. But on Friday, he sent another tweet that said he wouldn’t announce his decision until National Signing Day. While he listed five finalists, Richards counts 19 known offers.

He reportedly visited Auburn last weekend, and the 247 Sports Crystal Ball suggests the top three schools are Auburn, Penn State and Miami. By the same outlet, Richards is considered the No. 4 athlete in America, and the No. 13 player in the state of Florida. The 4-star prospect is 6 feet and 1/2, and 196 pounds.

It was unclear which date Richards meant, but Dec. 19 will be first chance to sign, however, he could wait until Feb. 6.
