End of an era: Dr. Pepper ads will no longer feature spokesman Larry Culpepper
If you want an ice cold Dr. Pepper next season, you’ll have to get it from somewhere other than Larry Culpepper.
The recognizable Dr. Pepper spokesman, played by actor Jim Connor, will not be used moving forward according to Adam Carriker of Carriker Chronicles. Culpepper was a character frequently used by Dr. Pepper for commercials in the fall during the college football season the previous few seasons. The commercials featuring the character were used so often and got so much screentime, if you watched college football the last few years he was hard to miss.
According to Carriker’s information, it doesn’t appear Connor made the decision to walk away from the role.
