One of the country’s top high school wide receivers, and top overall recruits in the class of 2027, is one step closer to his college decision.

Eric McFarland, a five-star WR, on Sunday released a top three of Florida, Georgia, and Texas A&M, with a decision date set for June 28. McFarland is the nation’s No. 5 wide receiver and No. 25 player, according to 247Sports’ Composite rankings.

McFarland’s offer sheet is befitting of a blue-chip recruit. Along with his three finalists, BYU, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Mizzou, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Oregon, SMU, and Vanderbilt are among the 35 schools that have offered the IMG Academy product.

McFarland was originally a 2028 recruit who has reclassified to the class of 2027. During the 2025 season, he made 29 catches for 595 yards and 11 touchdowns. He took an official visit to Florida beginning June 4, with previous visits to Georgia (May 15), Tennessee (May 22), and Texas A&M (May 28).

Florida already has three committed wide receivers for 2027, including in-state recruit Elias Pearl, the No. 15 player at his position. Georgia landed Atlanta’s Taurean Rawlins on May 31. Texas A&M, which has the top-ranked class in the country, also has one pledged WR in Lee County (Ga.)’s Jaden Upshaw, the nation’s No. 12 WR.

Here are some of McFarland’s highlights from Hudl:
