ESPN has announced kickoff information for a pivotal matchup between Alabama and Georgia in Week 5.

Kickoff between the Crimson Tide and Bulldogs is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on Sept. 27. The game will also be broadcast on ABC, clearing the way for broadcasters Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit to be on the call for that high-profile contest.

This game headlines a Week 5 slate that also includes Notre Dame vs. Arkansas, Auburn vs. Texas A&M and LSU vs. Ole Miss, amongst other SEC tilts. Over in the Big Ten, Oregon and Penn State are also playing that weekend. It’s slated to be one of the most highly-anticipated weeks of the entire 2025 college football schedule.

Georgia will be looking for revenge against Alabama after the Crimson Tide won a classic in Tuscaloosa against the Bulldogs last season. Georgia stormed all the way back from a huge early deficit, but a long Ryan Williams touchdown late in the game proved to be the difference in Alabama’s 41-34 win.

The outcome of this game could have a huge impact on who gets to the SEC Championship Game this season. Along with Texas, the Bulldogs and Crimson Tide are amongst the leaders in the preseason SEC title betting odds.

Alabama is 44-26-4 all-time against Georgia. This will be the first time these programs have met in Athens since 2015. UGA’s most recent home win over the Tide came way back in 2003.
