ESPN is nearing the start of the college football season, and fans across the country are getting ready for what they hope is a dream season.

The SEC is once again loaded, with many teams sporting some of the most talented players in the country. Stars like Garrett Nussmeier, Ryan Williams and Arch Manning are back leading their respective teams. However, it isn’t just the returning talent in the conference that makes it so special.

There are some incoming freshman who have a chance to contribute immediately, and ESPN highlighted three of the best in an SEC preview that published this week: Florida receiver Dallas Wilson, Tennessee offensive tackle David Sanders Jr. and LSU cornerback DJ Pickett.

Wilson has huge expectations entering his first season at Florida after an incredible performance in the spring game. He finished that game with 10 catches for 195 yards and 2 touchdowns. However, Wilson has been sidelined after suffering an injury on Wednesday and could miss multiple weeks.

Sanders is entering his freshman season with a chance to start at tackle for the Volunteers. He was named the North Carolina Gatorade Player of the Year as a junior, and he enrolled early at Tennessee.

LSU has put several cornerbacks in the NFL over the last decade, and the Tigers may have found their next star corner in 6-foot-4 freshman DJ Pickett. He had a really strong spring season for LSU, and he also possesses elite speed for a guy that size.

The Tigers have struggled the past couple of seasons on defense, and Pickett has a chance to help that side of the ball get better immediately.
