ESPN’s FPI predicts the winner of Auburn vs. Arkansas game

Hugh Freeze and the Auburn Tigers, currently holding a 3-4 record, are aiming to rebound against the Arkansas Razorbacks in Week 9.

The Tigers suffered a narrow defeat to Missouri in their last outing, losing 23-17. Meanwhile, the Razorbacks are coming off a closely-contested loss of their own, falling 45-42 to the Texas A&M Aggies.

According to ESPN’s Football Power Index (FPI), this matchup is expected to be tight. FPI gives Arkansas a 50.7% chance to win the game in Fayetteville.

Both teams are seeking redemption after disappointing performances in conference play. Arkansas faced a close one in Week 8 against Texas A&M where Taylen Green threw for 256 yards on 19 of 32 attempts, with 3 touchdowns without any interceptions. He also contributed significantly on the ground with 12 carries for 85 yards and 2 rushing touchdowns.

Auburn extended its losing streak in Week 8. Quarterback Jackson Arnold led the Tigers with 207 passing yards on 18 of 30 attempts but struggled with no touchdowns and one interception. He also rushed for one touchdown on 17 carries totaling just 14 yards.

Kickoff at Donald W. Reynolds Stadium in Fayetteville is set for 12:45 PM ET.
