ESPN’s FPI projects outcome of Alabama vs Wisconsin in Week 3

All eyes will be on Tuscaloosa this Saturday as the Wisconsin Badgers face off against the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Even with Alabama’s recent struggles, ESPN’s Football Power Index (FPI) projections heavily favor the Tide, giving them an 88.9% chance to beat to Wisconsin on Saturday.

Alabama is 2-1 all-time against Wisconsin. Their last encounter in 2024 was a decisive victory for the Crimson Tide, who overwhelmed Wisconsin with a score of 42-10 in Madison.

In Week 2, Wisconsin showcased its offensive prowess by defeating Middle Tennessee 42-10. Quarterback Danny O’Neil threw for an impressive 283 yards with a completion rate of 85.2%, including 3 touchdowns and just 1 interception.

On the other hand, Alabama unleashed its frustrations in Week 2 by obliterating Louisiana-Monroe with a jaw-dropping score of 73-0. Ty Simpson was flawless, completing all 17 of his passes for 226 yards and 3 touchdowns without any interceptions a perfect day at the office. He also contributed on the ground with a rushing touchdown. AK Dear had 76 rushing yards on 5 carries and another touchdown, while the Tide’s Germie Bernard dazzled with 3 receptions for 67 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Kickoff from Tuscaloosa is set for 12 p.m. ET on Saturday afternoon. The game will be broadcast on ABC.
