ESPN’s Heather Dinich is locked in on all things college football and is a frequent guest on “Get Up,” especially as the 2025 season draws closer.

Dinich and Paul Finebaum appeared on the show alongside host Mike Greenberg on Monday morning and among the topics of discussion was LSU‘s Week 1 road trip to take on Clemson in a Battle of the Death Vallies.

Can Brian Kelly finally win his first Week 1 game during his LSU tenure? Or will Dabo Swinney get the best of LSU in a matchup of 2 Tigers?

Dinich is going with the latter, saying Clemson will emerge victorious in the marquee Week 1 matchup:

“Clemson will beat LSU in the season opener and be a serious contender for the national title,” Dinich said. “I say that Greeny, because Clemson is loaded. They return 80% of their production from last year, more than any team in the FBS.

“Cade Klubnik will be better. He’s got another season under his belt with offensive coordinator Garrett Riley. He’s coming off one of the best seasons in school history and has his top 3 receivers returning.”

This matchup has some major College Football Playoff (and potentially even some Heisman Trophy) ramifications. We’ll see who wins on Saturday, August 30, at 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
