Former Auburn player Jay Prosch enters his fourth NFL season with the Houston Texans with a new contract, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported.
Prosch, a fullback, was picked by Houston Texans with the 35th pick in the sixth round (211th overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft.
Prosch has played in 16 games the last two seasons, and played in 15 games as a rookie.
Following the Texans’ win over Indianapolis in December, coach Bill O’Brien said Prosch has made an impact on the offense, AL.com reported.
“Jay Prosch has had a good year for us,” O’Brien said. “He went in there and made some real tough blocks yesterday. And it was good. It’s a tough position to play. When you play fullback in this league — and that’s something that we believe in with some of the plays that we run — it’s a car crash for that guy.
Texans signed FB Jay Prosch to a 3-year, $5.75 million extension, including $2.7M gtd, per source.
