Florida continues to do work on the recruiting trail building its 2026 class.

Billy Napier‘s staff picked up another commitment on Monday. Blue-chip in-state linebacker Malik Morris is the newest pledge.

Out of Lakeland (Florida) High School, Morris is listed as measuring 6-1 and 225 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Morris is rated 4-stars, the No. 12 linebacker, No. 27 player in the state of Florida and No. 202 prospect overall in the Class of 2026.

As one of the top linebackers in the Sunshine State, Morris received lots of interest, picking up scholarship offers from 32 programs during his recruitment.

For Monday’s commitment ceremony, Morris narrowed it down to Florida, Miami and Texas A&M.

With Morris on board, Florida is up to 16 verbal commitments in its 2026 recruiting class, which ranks No. 15 nationally on the Composite. Gator fans who don’t already follow Lakeland football can get a preview of what Morris brings to The Swamp by checking out his highlights in the clip below.
