Florida has canceled its home-and-home series with Arizona State, NC State, and Cal, according to a report.

That news was first reported by 247Sports’ Zach Goodall and has since been confirmed by other outlets. The news comes in the wake of the SEC adding a ninth conference game in 2026.

In addition to playing 9 conference games, the SEC will require its members to play at least one nonconference game against another power-conference program. For Florida, that non-conference Power 4 opponent will be its annual rivalry with Florida State.

Florida was scheduled to have home-and-home series with Arizona State in 2028 and 2031, NC State in 2026 and 2032, and Cal in 2026 and 2027.

Per Goodall’s report, Florida included a clause in all 3 of its contracts that allowed them to cancel the future series if the SEC decided to go to a 9-game conference schedule, so it will not have to pay a buyout.

With the cancellation of these series, Florida will play Florida Atlantic, Campbell, and FSU in 2026. In 2027, Florida will play South Alabama, Charleston Southern, and FSU.

Florida does still have home-and-home agreements with Colorado in 2028 and 2029, as well as with Notre Dame in 2031 and 2032.
