The Florida Gators and Ripple have agreed to a multi-year partnership, according to the university. As a result, the logo of Ripple’s cryptocurrency, XRP, will be on the Ben Hill Griffin Stadium field starting this season.

“Florida has a long history of embracing innovation and technology to enhance the experience of our fans and advance our programs,” Scott Stricklin, the Gators’ athletic director, said in a press release. “Ripple has established itself as an innovative leader in financial technology, and we’re excited to welcome XRP to Gator Nation. This partnership brings together two organizations that think boldly about the future, and we look forward to introducing XRP to our fans.”

According to Yahoo! Sports’ Ross Dellenger, the multi-year logo deal will generate $5 million annually for Florida. The agreement is “believed to be among the most lucrative in college football.”

Per the university, Ripple’s partnership “establishes a long-term commitment to the university.” The company will also “support financial and technology education for Florida student-athletes and the campus community, covering both traditional finance and digital assets.”

The Gators open the 2026 season tomorrow (Sept. 5) versus the Florida Atlantic Owls. Kickoff is set for 7:45 p.m. E.T. (SEC Network).
