Florida releases riveting hype video for primetime clash at Miami
Florida is mired in an early season funk that’s seen the Gators go from ranked to out of the AP rankings after a Week 2 home loss to South Florida.
The slide continued in Week 3 with a primetime road loss against No. 3 LSU, when Florida was held to 10 points. And on Saturday night, the road won’t get any easier for Billy Napier‘s team, as it visits No. 4 Miami in a Sunshine State rivalry clash at Hard Rock Stadium. It’ll take a lot for the 1-2 Gators to pull the upset, and the ESPN FPI doesn’t believe much in it happening, giving the Hurricanes a 75.2% chance to get to 4-0.
Florida isn’t just trying to save its season from sinking deeper, it’s also out for payback after Miami went to Gainesville in Week 1 last year and put a 41-17 beating on the Gators. Miami holds a slim 30-27 lead in the all-time series, which began way back in 1938 with the Hurricanes winning that first game, 19-7.
On Friday night, the Florida football social media account tried to fire up its fan base on the eve of the game by releasing this 48-second hype video:
The game will kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC, as the Gators have another shot, on the road and in primetime, to get their season back on track.
