Florida is expected to see significant roster turnover through the transfer portal, and one move is cornerback Avery Helm.
Jason Higdon of Rivals reported that Helm is heading to the portal and the Gators will have double-digit players move on.
Helm this season started at cornerback in the first 4 games and appeared in 10 games, but didn’t play in the final 2 games of the season. He had 8 tackles this season.
Helm is a 6-foot-1 and 170-pound sophomore out of Missouri City, Texas. He redshirted the 2020 season.

Last season, he started 9 games and appeared in 11 and finished with 3 pass breakups and 22 tackles.
Helm was a 4-star prospect who chose the Gators over Texas, Texas A&M, TCU and Arizona.
The transfer portal opens on Dec. 5.
