The Florida Gators will sport some new looks in 2026, the first season under new head coach Jon Sumrall.
First came the reveal of the new blue-helmet-and orange-jersey combo. Turns out, the blue helmets with script “Gators” – last worn in 2020 – will see more use this fall.
Florida also unveiled its all-blue look, a first for the Gators. At some point this season, UF will wear its blue helmets, blue jerseys and blue pants.

Sophomore wide receiver Vernell Brown III modeled the all-blue combo featured in Wednesday’s unveiling. Injuries limited Brown to playing in just 10 games as a true freshman, but he was still the teamโs most productive pass-catcher. A Gator legacy, Brown ledย Floridaย in receptions (40) and receiving yards (512). The former 5-star recruit, though, is still waiting to catch his first touchdown in a Gator uniform.

Under previous coaches, the Gators have sported a “big-game blue” combo of blue jerseys and blue pants with the traditional orange helmets. In 2020, the Gators wore throwback blue helmets and jerseys with white pants.

The Sumrall era at Florida kicks off on Sept. 5 when UF hosts Florida Atlantic.
