The Florida State Seminoles are preparing to take on the Boston College Eagles this Saturday in their first game without Mike Norvell at the helm since 2020, but the former head coach won’t be the only notable absence for the Noles.

According to ESPN insider Pete Thamel, Florida State will also be without star wide receiver Duce Robinson for its matchup against Boston College and the remainder of the season after he suffered a torn ACL in last weekend’s loss to Clemson.

One of the few bright spots for Florida State this season, Robinson was the leading receiver for the Seminoles, recording 483 yards and four touchdowns on 24 receptions through the first eight games.

Robinson began his collegiate career with the USC Trojans before transferring to Tallahassee in 2025. He led Florida State in receiving last season as well, hauling in 56 passes for 1,081 yards and four touchdowns. The electric playmaker elected to return to college for one final season rather than declare for the NFL Draft, a decision that unfortunately doesn’t appear to have paid off.

With his eligibility now exhausted, it appears Robinson has officially played his final snap of college football, barring an NCAA waiver or court order that grants him additional eligibility.
