The Cleveland Browns are determined not to go 0-16 again in 2018, and have been very busy on the trade and free agent markets.

However, as the Browns bring in more players, that means others have to be let go or sent off in trades, and that meant bad news for former Auburn WR Sammie Coates.

After coming to Cleveland in a trade last September, Coates has now been waived by the Browns, according to the team website.

Coates played in only 12 games last year, recording a measly six catches for 70 yards. He’ll test the free agency market, but he may be running out of NFL options.

Still, it’s early in the offseason, so there’s plenty of time for him to find a team that could use his help.
