Former Florida WR Eugene Wilson reportedly lines up multiple SEC visits
Eugene Wilson III spent 3 seasons at Florida under Billy Napier. With Napier no longer in town, Wilson is exploring his options. And they, like Florida, are SEC schools.
According to On3 Sports’ Hayes Fawcett, Wilson will be visiting Texas A&M and LSU in the coming days. He’ll be in College Station talking with the Aggies this weekend, and in Baton Rouge chatting with the Tigers after that.
Wilson tallied 27 receptions for 239 yards and 3 touchdowns as a Gator in 2025. He showed up big in Florida’s biggest game, posting 9 receptions, 121 yards and a touchdown in their loss to Georgia.
Back in 2023, Wilson was the No. 109 overall recruit (No. 21 WR), according to 247Sports’ Composite rankings. Texas A&M is the only school besides Florida that he took an official visit to, but that was when Jimbo Fisher was the Aggies’ head coach.
Regardless, that interest — and a 2-day trip to College Station — could be indicative of Wilson’s early preference. Marcel Reed’s presence, compared to no major transfer portal addition for LSU (yet, anyway), could also impact Wilson’s decision.
