Former Georgia WR Mecole Hardman speaks out on lack of playing time with Jets
Mecole Hardman signed with the New York Jets this offseason, hoping to have an immediate impact, but he’s yet to see significant playing time.
The 5th year player out of Georgia has logged just one reception this season in Week 2. He also has played second fiddle to rookie Xavier Gipson as the Jets return option.
The Jets are now looking to trade Hardman before the Oct. 31 trade deadline, and Hardman is embracing a move.
โIย just want to play, get on the field. Whether itโs here or somewhere else, itโs not up to me,โ Hardman said. โIt depends. If it works out for both sides, I guess, I donโt know. Iโve never been part of this so I donโt know.โ
Hardman also posted a cryptic message on social media that could have to do with a potential trade.
I canโt wait til i get a chance to really tell yโall what I really want to tell yโall and this donโt got nothing to do with my current situation either

Wherever Hardman lands, he will be hoping to finally hit his stride.
5 years into the league, he hasn’t had a standout year, with his best year coming his rookie season when he logged 538 yards and 6 touchdowns.
