Anemic Gators offense struggling in first half against Tennessee

If you are one of the unfortunate fans subjecting themselves to an ugly, ugly, football game in Knoxville this afternoon, you wouldn’t know the Florida Gators’ offense had two weeks to prepare for this game by their play in the first half.
Much to Will Muschamp’s chagrin, redshirt junior quarterback Jeff Driskel has been largely ineffective and the offense as a whole hasn’t done much either.
As of this posting, Florida has amassed just 92 yards of offense on 29 plays. Driskel’s limited production has come only in the running game, throwing for just 30 yards and running for 32 yards on seven carries.
Driskel has attempted just one pass of more than 10 yards in the first half, but that resulted in an interception thanks to a misplay by wide receiver Demarcus Robinson.
Because of another lackluster performance from the Gators’ starting quarterback, Florida fan’s patience with Driskel is wearing even thinner, if that was even possible.
How long do I have to watch @jeffdriskel struggle? #UFvsUT

Cmon Muschamp, save your job and put Treon Harris in. Driskel is a bum!

Driskel has an interception? Weird… #TreonHarris

It’s clear from what Muschamp said earlier in the week that he believes Driskel as the team’s starting quarterback gives the Gators the best opportunity to win. While they may be sound in theory, Driskel’s on-field production speaks for itself.
If there’s seemingly no end in sight for the Gators’ offensive troubles, Florida fans may get their wish as Muschamp may be forced to make a change, regardless of whether he wants to or not.
