Georgia beats 113-year-old record in dominant start to 2026 season

Georgia is 3-0 this season, with very special style points.
The 2nd-ranked Bulldogs, who are 2-time defending SEC champions, have blown away the competition so far in 2026 in such easy fashion that they’ve entered the Georgia football record book.
With Saturday afternoon’s 45-17 bludgeoning of Arkansas in Fayetteville to kick-start its SEC campaign, the Dawgs have now scored a whopping 178 points in their first 3 games, which is Georgia’s most points through 3 games since the 1913 season.
Together with a 63-3 rout of Tennessee State in Week 1 and a 70-20 beatdown of Western Kentucky in Week 2, with both of those blowouts at home, Georgia has run up a ridiculous offensive pace in the month of September. Those 178 points aren’t just Georgia’s most in its first 3 games in 113 years, they also are part of SEC lore, with it being the 3rd-most points through 3 games by an SEC team in the history of this proud conference.
That’s a lot of points and a lot of history, and it’s only Week 3 of the season.
Next up on Georgia’s possible hit list is a Week 4 home showdown against Oklahoma, so the competition is about to get tougher as the Dawgs try to keep up their breathless offensive firestorm this fall.
