Georgia fans and media this week remembered Trent “Big Dawg” Woods who suddenly passed away at age 45, according to multiple reports.
Woods carried on the family tradition of painting a bulldog on his head after his dad, Mike, passed away in 2017. His father came to every game with a bulldog painted on his head and often stopped to grab a quick picture with fellow Georgia fans.
“It has been a blessing, and painful,” Woods told Georgia’s student newspaper, “The Red and Black.” “I know my dad would be here right now with me, and I know that he would be having so much fun. But I also know that I am proud that I could do this for him right now.”
Here’s a sampling of how Georgia fans remembered the superfan, and family tradition, as Trent was known as “Big Dawg III.”:

RIP Trent “Big Dawg” Woods, DGD. Trent was a supporter of @UGAHockey and was always available to assist the team. This pic was a great memory of me teaching the Big Dawg how to skate. He will be missed ? pic.twitter.com/NOkdb5eSUW
