Georgia football adds international commitment from 2027 DL

The Georgia Bulldogs added an international commitment from Class of 2027 DL Marcellus Young Casario on Monday, Georgia’s second pledge of the day. The Bulldogs added 4-star WR Jamir Dean earlier on Monday, flipping his commitment from Penn State.

Young Casario has been on Georgia’s radar for a while. The 3-star prospect who played for St. Andrew’s College in Aurora, Canada, which is located just north of Toronto. He moved to Rabun Gap-Nacoochee HS in Georgia for his junior season.

Young Casario picked Georgia over offers from Miami, Michigan State and Georgia Tech.

Young Casario is the 16th player to commit to Georgia in the Class of 2027 and the 3rd defensive lineman, alongside 3-star DL Waylon Wooten and 3-star edge Olayiwola Taiwo, both from Georgia. Young Casario is the highest-rated of the group.

According to 247Sports’ composite rankings, Young Casario is considered to be the No. 553 overall prospect in the Class of 2027, as well as the No. 70 DL and No. 69 prospect from the state of Georgia.
