The Georgia Bulldogs open their season at home against the Marshall Thundering Herd on Saturday afternoon.
Ahead of their season opener, the Bulldogs have named their team captains. Junior offensive lineman Earnest Greene III, junior linebacker CJ Allen, junior offensive lineman Drew Bobo, and junior defensive lineman Christen Miller have all been named as team captains for the Georgia Bulldogs.
Greene III, son of Super Bowl-winning offensive lineman Earnest Greene Jr., was a previous SEC All-Freshman team member in 2023. He started all 14 games for Georgia that season. Last season, Greene III appeared in 11 games and started nine of those and was named to the Senior Bowl Watch List.
Allen was second on the team in total tackles last season with 76 and was tied for third on the team for interceptions with 1. Bobo appeared in all 14 games last season, and he even completed a 9-yard pass on a fake punt in the fourth quarter of Georgia’s SEC Championship over Texas.
Miller became a starter in 2024, starting 10 games and totaling 27 tackles and 3.5 tackles-for-loss. Pro Football Focus ranked him as the fourth-best returning interior defensive lineman for the 2025 season.
Georgia will need all of their captains to take that next step as leaders if it wants to return to the pinnacle of college football and become national champions once again.
