Georgia and Oklahoma come into their Week 4 clash between the hedges on totally different spectrums.
The Bulldogs are ranked 2nd in the country, are 3-0, and just got through registering a record-breaking offensive output in their first 3 games of the 2026 season. The Dawgs have put a stunning 178 points combined so far this year in blowout victories over Tennessee State, Western Kentucky and Arkansas, with Georgia routing the Razorbacks, 45-17, in its SEC opener on Saturday in Fayetteville.
Then there is Oklahoma, which has been booted out of the current AP rankings, falling out of the poll on Sunday after struggling once again offensively in a 14-6 victory over New Mexico on Saturday night. That season-opening blowout of UTEP seems like forever ago, after the Sooners lost in Week 2 at Michigan, scoring only 10 points while doing it, then managed just the 14 points at home against a Mountain West Conference team.
Yes, OU is 2-1, but that’s about all it can hang its hat on right now as it heads to Athens on Saturday for its SEC opener. And when the opening lines for Week 4 were revealed on Sunday afternoon, the situation for the Dawgs and Sooners was reflected in the betting line as the teams collide in a 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff on ESPN.
Just how much is Georgia favored by at home against the reeling Sooners? That would be 14.5 points, so the Dawgs are being looked at as more than a 2-touchdown favorite over OU, at least at the beginning of this week.
