Georgia running back Sony Michel suffered a broken bone in his hand on Saturday. But head coach Mark Richt doesn’t expect Michel to miss any games.

โ€œEither the first or second play he broke a bone in his hand. He kinda played with a banged up hand,โ€ Richt said on Sunday. โ€œItโ€™s not anything thatโ€™s going to need surgery or anything like that, but there was a slight fracture, I guess is the best way to describe it. That didnโ€™t help the cause, but, again, thatโ€™s football.โ€

Michel rushed for 45 yards on 13 carries in the Bulldogs’ 27-3 loss.

Georgia defensive tackle Trenton Thompson suffered an apparent lower leg injury in the fourth quarter Saturday. According to Richt, he shouldn’t miss any time.

โ€œHeโ€™s fine,โ€ Richt said. โ€œHeโ€™s just been dealing with a sprained ankle, and sometimes youโ€™re in there battling in the trenches and it gets tweaked and it just hurts for awhile.โ€
