Georgia running back Nate Frazier is expected to return to the starting lineup on Saturday against Auburn, according to a report.

That’s per ESPN’s Pete Thamel, who notes that Frazier has missed most of the last 3 weeks with a rib injury. He recorded a couple of carries against Vanderbilt in Week 5 but otherwise has been on the shelf since mid-September.

Per Thamel, he’s now ready to return as Georgia and Auburn renew the Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry:

When healthy, Frazier is Georgia’s lead running back. He’s averaging over 8 yards per carry this season and has scored 5 touchdowns on the ground. He’s second on the team in total rushing yards behind Dwight Phillips despite missing significant time in recent weeks.

Georgia’s No. 2 running back, Chauncey Bowens, is expected to miss the Auburn game. That will leave the Bulldogs with Frazier, Phillips and Bo Walker as healthy running back options vs. the Tigers.

Georgia has won 9 consecutive games against Auburn, with the Tigers’ last win in this series coming way back in 2017.

Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday afternoon.
