Missouri appears to have a new QB1 in Beau Pribula, and Greg McElroy shared his thoughts on that Friday.
On McElroy & Cubelic in the Morning, the ESPN analyst broke down Pribula’s dazzling debut in the Tigers’ 61-6 rout of Central Arkansas.
“I looked at the ball placement, a couple throws downfield that were right on the money,” McElroy said. “We knew he was athletic, but I thought he looked really twitchy. I just thought he was excellent. I know who it’s against. I’m not giving him the Heisman. We’ll see what he does against real competition. But I’ve seen him play well against real competition in kind of a role last year for Penn State where he was utilized every game. Just wasn’t the starter. But I have a feeling that kid’s got some game. He was excellent last night. And I think there’s maybe even more there.”
Pribula put up 348 total yards and 4 touchdowns in his first career start. He completed 23-of-28 passes for 283 yards and 2 scores while adding 65 rushing yards and two more touchdowns on the ground.

The Tigers couldn’t have asked for a better performance, and it’ll be interesting to see where he goes from here. Kansas comes to Memorial Stadium on Sept. 6.
