November brings with it plenty of elimination games when it comes to the College Football Playoff, and while both Texas and Missouri could potentially play their way back into the field of 12 following a loss Saturday, neither wants to test that theory.

The Longhorns are set to visit their old Big 12 rivals for the first time since they moved to the SEC, as the Tigers haven’t welcomed the burnt orange to Faurot Field since 2011, which resulted in a 17-5 win for the home side.

Ahead of the weekend’s loaded slate of games, ESPN’s Greg McElroy took to his “Always College Football” show to provide some picks for the weekend.

And when it comes to the clash in Columbia, McElroy believes that Mizzou will spring somewhat of an upset and emerge victorious at home, 20-17.

“I think they’re [Tigers] going to have to win this game the way they’ve been doing it all season,” McElroy said. “By refusing to give the ball away.”

McElroy went on to delve into how Texas has developed a bad habit of turning the ball over and setting opposing offenses up in prime territory, something he thinks Austin Simmons & Co. will take advantage of.

In terms of McElroy’s keys to the game, he presented five of them:

  1. Who blocks [Mizzou’s] Daeden Hopkins?
  2. How does Texas get to 24 [points]?
  3. What does Austin Simmons do with the deep ball taken away?
  4. Does Jamal Roberts keep Missouri on schedule?
  5. Which team blinks with the ball?

The Tigers and Longhorns will kick off at noon ET, with the game being broadcast by ABC.
