Auburn coach Gus Malzahn didn’t waste any time sharing his disappointment following the 52-21 loss to Alabama.
Malzahn said Alabama’s 21-point third quarter proved to be the difference as the Tigers were in “good position” in the first half as the game was 17-14 at halftime.
As Auburn fell to 7-5 and 3-5 in the SEC, Malzahn was asked about his future, and the plans for his staff in 2019.
Malzahn did offer positive news on Ryan Davis, who was injured on a pass over the middle on a play where Alabama’s Jared Mayden was flagged and ejected for targeting.
Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn: "Starting out the game, first half, I thought we were in good position. … The game got away from us in the third quarter. That's very disappointing."
