Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa may have turned the lights out on any LSU comeback hopes with a 44-yard touchdown run in the third quarter, but there was some cause for concern.

Tagovailoa appeared to injure himself in the celebration after the score as the Crimson Tide went up 22-0 with 5:14 left in the third quarter. Tagovailoa has dealt with a right knee sprain since the Missouri game.

The run was the kind of play many Heisman Trophy award winners have as they deliver a memorable performance against a quality opponent. It’s tough to find a more noteworthy environment than against LSU in a night game at Tiger Stadium.

Tagovailoa appeared to limp on the sideline, and was on an exercise bike in the moments after the touchdown. He returned to the game in the third quarter without missing any action.

It was the second scare of the night for Alabama as Tagovailoa in the first quarter suffered a brief midsection injury that caused him to miss one play.
