Hendon Hooker and CJ Stroud are having terrific seasons in 2022. Hooker arguably leads the most explosive offense in the country in Tennessee, while Stroud has already thrown for just shy of 30 touchdowns on the season.

Hooker and Stroud have their teams primed for a College Football Playoff run, too.

On Saturday, Hooker has another stiff test in facing Kentucky’s very good defense. Like Hooker, Stroud faces a tough test in Penn State’s defense, too.

Hooker has thrown for 18 touchdowns compared to just one interception, while Stroud has thrown for 28 touchdowns and 4 interceptions.

Tim Tebow joined SportsCenter Saturday morning, and he was asked whether he’d vote for Hooker or Stroud for the Heisman Trophy right now.

“Both of them are deserving. They’ve had unbelievable seasons,” Tebow said on SportsCenter. “If you look at Hendon Hooker — 21 touchdowns and one interception. He had an amazing, amazing performance against Alabama in one of the biggest games there at Rocky Top in decades, honestly.

“Then, you look at CJ Stroud and what has he not done flawlessly? He has been incredible. I believe he has four interceptions and 28 touchdowns. That’s stupid. These two kids are playing phenomenal. They both have massive tests today.

“But if I was giving a slight edge right now today, which there’s a lot of season to play, I’m giving a slight edge to Hendon Hooker because he’s had bigger games and he’s come up so big, not in the first, second or third quarter, but in the fourth quarter when it mattered most. Down 49-42, he leads his team on a drive. Touchdown. Then, they get the ball back and get two daggers against Alabama. Right now, if I had to vote, I’d give a slight edge to Hendon Hooker.”

Will both Hooker and Stroud remain victorious Saturday after facing tough tests? These 2 signal callers will both likely be in New York in December.
