The Cotton Bowl announced its 2018 Hall of Fame Class Thursday, and former Arkansas and Ole Miss head coach Houston Nutt is one of six individuals who will be inducted into the game’s Hall Of Fame.
According to the release, Nutt is one of five coaches to lead different schools to the bowl game and one of three coaches to record wins with multiple schools in the bowl game. He led Arkansas to a victory in the 2000 game and recorded back-to-back Cotton Bowl victories with Ole Miss from 2009-10.
Nutt posted a 3-1 overall record in the bowl game with his lone loss coming in 2002 when his Arkansas Razorbacks lost to Oklahoma. It should be noted that he also led Arkansas to another Cotton Bowl appearance in the 2007 season but resigned following the regular season and did not coach in the bowl game.
