Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze provided injury updates for a couple of key players at his weekly press conference on Monday afternoon.

Freeze said Auburn expects star receiver transfer Eric Singleton Jr. will be good to go when the Tigers kickoff against Baylor on Friday night in Waco. Singleton has reportedly been dealing with a minor knee issue he suffered during fall camp and has been somewhat limited in the run-up to the season.

However, it seems Singleton will play against Baylor barring any setbacks.

“He looked good yesterday, I think he’s close to being 100 percent,” Freeze said. “We’ll continue to protect him a little bit and get him some conditioning. But he’ll be ready to give it a go, lord willing, if nothing else happens this week.”

Singleton is expected to be a huge piece of Auburn’s offense this season. Arguably the top pass-catcher who changed schools in the transfer portal this offseason, Singleton amassed 754 yards in 12 games last season while playing for Georgia Tech.

Singleton aside, Freeze also express confidence in the health of Auburn’s roster overall. He said everyone that hasn’t previously been ruled out for Week 1 is on track to play against the Bears.

Kickoff against Baylor is set for 8 p.m. ET on Friday night.
